Notes: This song was written on 2nd May 1889 at Kirki (Maharashtra).
This is purely a song written on request by Biharilal Gupta and Soudamini for the occasion of their daughter, Snehalata's marriage with Kumudnath Sen. Rabindranath had asked Sarala Devi to compose a fitting tune for it. It was Sarala Devi who sang the song on 2nd May 1889.
